Volunteers

Volunteers contribute a great deal to the quality of life for the residents of Morgan Place. They help to prevent isolation and loneliness and the extra hand they bring enhances the programs offered.
Our volunteers assist with the many activity programs; such as playing music, visiting, assisting with games, bingo and coming on bus outings in the community. Volunteers come to us for many different reasons and each volunteer’s commitment is different. We try very hard to accommodate everyone who is giving their time and we appreciate our weekly volunteers as much as our more frequent flyers. We have many students who will volunteer for 6 months to a year and gain valuable life experience and we have some volunteers who have been with us for over 10 years. Each volunteer plays an important role and we value our volunteers immensely. The time, commitment, skills and talents our volunteers offer play a vital role in our ability to provide excellent care.
